College pathways after high school

Graduating from an American high school opens the next door

Our program ends at high school graduation, but the diploma you earn is the strongest possible starting point for university applications anywhere in the world.

Why US-schooled students apply from a stronger position

  • A US transcript needs no credential evaluation or equivalency conversion
  • Counsellor recommendations carry weight with American admissions offices
  • AP results can convert into first-year university credit
  • Four years of English-medium schooling often waives language test requirements

What the final two years look like

  1. 01

    Grade 11

Take the SAT or ACT, build a strong course load and deepen one or two extracurricular commitments.

  2. 02

    Summer before grade 12

Draft the personal essay and build a balanced university list with the school counsellor.

  3. 03

    Autumn of grade 12

Submit early applications, request recommendations and complete financial aid forms.

  4. 04

    Spring of grade 12

Compare offers, confirm funding and transfer the student visa to the university.

Important to know

Africa Future Exchange places students in high schools only. University advising is handled by your school's own college counselling office, which is included in the tuition you already pay. We will make sure you choose a school with a strong counselling department.
